The total number of seats available for NEET 2024 has been decided through collaboration between the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Dental Council of India (DCI). This includes 99,763 seats for MBBS, 26,949 seats for BDS, 52,720 seats for AYUSH courses, approximately 603 seats for BVSc & AH programs, 1,899 seats for AIIMS, and 249 seats for JIPMER. These seats are distributed across 612 medical and 315 dental colleges.

NEET UG 2024 Exam Date Out

The National Testing Agency has released schedule for 2024, and it includes the NEET UG 2024 exam. According to the official notice, the NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled for May 5, 2024.  Eligibility Criteria of NEET UG 2024

Candidates who want to apply for NEET 2024 need to make sure they meet some basic requirements. These include things like their age, education, how many marks they have, and how many times they’ve tried before. You can only take the NEET 2024 exam if you meet all these requirements.

 Age criteria for NEET UG 2024

For the NEET Exam 2024, all candidates need to be at least 17 years old. The good news is ,as long as you were born on or before December 31, 2007, you can take the NEET UG 2024 exam.

NEET Nationality

Candidates who can apply and take the NEET 2024 Exam include Indian citizens, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Foreign Nationals.

NEET Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for the NEET 2024 Entrance Exam, candidates must have finished and passed their 10+2 exam or an equivalent from a recognized board. They should have studied key subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, along with English from a well-known board. Even those who are currently in the process of completing their 10+2 or equivalent can still appear for the NEET 2024 exam.

NEET 2024 Exam Pattern

Before taking the NEET 2024 exam, it’s important for all aspirants to understand the exam pattern, as it’s crucial for proper preparation. Recently, the NTA updated the NEET UG Exam Pattern for 2024, which includes details about the exam mode, duration, question types, and marking scheme.

According to the NTA’s decision, each subject in NEET 2024 is divided into two parts. The NTA NEET 2024 Exam Pattern consists of two sections:

Section A – 35 Questions
SectionB – 15 Questions
The NTA NEET 2024 Question Paper contains a total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Aspirants can choose to answer any 10 out of the 15 questions in Section B.
This year, the NTA added an extra 20 minutes, making the total time for NEET UG 2024 to be 200 minutes. It’s important to note that only the first 10 answers to the questions in Section B are evaluated, even if candidates attempt more than 10 questions.

The National Medical Commission has released the updated syllabus for NEET 2024.
