This program offers full interest subsidies on bank loans, up to Rs 1 lakh, empowering eligible women to choose their own scooters. The event saw 100 women receiving scooter keys, with a promising 15,000 more women set to benefit from this life-changing ‘Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana.’ The Chief Minister praised the remarkable performance of women involved in the Mission Shakti scheme.
Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana 2023
On Friday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Odisha cabinet approved the Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana. It offers interest subvention on bank loans, aiding beneficiaries to purchase scooters, up to INR 1,00,000. Mission Shakti Minister Tukuni Sahu shared that around 75,000 SHG community support staff and nearly 1,25,000 SHG federation leaders will benefit from this scheme. The state government has allocated INR 528.55 crore over the next five years for this program. Additionally, the cabinet has earmarked INR 5,700 crore for the Interest Subsidy-Subvention scheme to ensure affordable credit flow in agriculture for farmers over five years, starting from 2023-24 to 2027-28, as confirmed by Cooperation Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak.

What is Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana Odisha?
Odisha’s Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, has given the green light to the Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana. This innovative plan aims to make life easier for Mission Shakti Federation Leaders and Community Support Staff by offering attractive interest subsidies on bank loans up to INR 1,00,000 for purchasing scooters. Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana Eligibility
To qualify for an interest-free loan, you should be a permanent resident of Odisha, maintain a strong credit score, and be part of the Community Support or Federation Staff. This program benefits around 2 lakh women, including members of Self Help Groups.

Mission Shakti Scooter Yojana Beneficiary List
The Mission Shakti Scooter Scheme is all set to empower 75,000 dedicated community support staff, including individuals such as Bank Mitra, Prani Mitra, Krushi Mitra, Community Resource Person, Udyog Mitra, Self Help Groups, Business Correspondence Agents, and Livelihood Support Persons. Additionally, this initiative will also benefit 125,000 Federation leaders, comprising Executive Members and Office Bearers from all levels of Panchayats. Through this scheme, we aim to provide scooters, facilitating their work and contributions to the community.
